Clinic day

Today we had our bi-monthly CF Clinic appointment. This was supposed to be the day we were looking forward to for so long, the day that would start a new, exciting, less stressful chapter of our ( CF related) life...today we were supposed to leave with a plan in place for Violet's new vest, but after 2 hours of nurses, doctors, respiratory therapist, social worker and dietitian visits, we left without our hands on a vest. FAIL !!

For our non-CF families, this is a picture of the vest. It will be done in place of the manual hand clapper we do on Violet, after her albuterol, 2x a day.  As I have mentioned before, keeping an almost 2 year old still for 24 minutes while you pound on her in 12 different spots is next to impossible!!In other words, this is the picture of  relief!!

We did not see the doctor we typically see today, which I have no complaints about, but this doctor told us although we are now just 6 days shy of the big 2, 6 days is still a no-go. Fingers crossed for the November visit!

We did leave with good news though. Most importantly, her lungs are CLEAR, but also Miss Violet gained over a pound since May, and grew over an inch as well! She's 27 and a half pounds of energy, curiousity and has equite an impressive vocabulary!

Tonight we had a fundraiser at Wendy's, set up by my aunt. We can't wait to get the total amount they are donating and want to thank everyone that was able to make it out!

Hope to see you all next month at the Half Way to St. Patty's Day party!!!! ( a very casual ode to Violet's Irish heritage)

Sorry there are no pics. I am not sure what the problem is, if it's a laptop problem or phone problem or what, but no new pics show up since Sept 5th?!? I am exhausted and cant stay up any later to figure it out tonight.
Stay tuned for pics of our baby's 2nd birthday later this week!
